Construction Method Of Geomembrane

Do not drag or forcefully pull the geomembrane during transportation to avoid sharp objects stabbing it.
1. Extend from the bottom to the high position, do not pull too tightly, and leave a margin of 1.50% for local sinking and stretching. Considering the actual situation of this project, the slope is laid in a top-down sequence;
2. The longitudinal joints of two adjacent frames should not be on the same horizontal line and should be staggered by more than 1m from each other;
3. The longitudinal joint should be located at a distance of more than 1.50m from the dam foot and bend foot, and should be located on a plane;
4. First slope, then site bottom;
5. When laying the slope, the direction of film spreading should be basically parallel to the maximum slope line.

1. Before laying the geomembrane, the corresponding qualified acceptance certificate documents of the civil engineering project should be provided.
2. Before cutting the geomembrane, the relevant dimensions should be accurately measured and then cut according to the actual situation. Generally, it is not advisable to cut according to the dimensions shown in the diagram, and each piece should be numbered and recorded in detail on a dedicated table.
3. When laying the geomembrane, efforts should be made to minimize the number of welds and save raw materials as much as possible while ensuring quality. It is also easy to ensure quality. As shown in Figure 2

5. Usually, in corners and deformed areas, the joint length should be minimized as much as possible. Except for special requirements, welding seams should be avoided as much as possible within a range of 1.5 meters from the top slope or stress concentration area on slopes with a slope greater than 1:6.
6. During the laying of geomembranes, artificial wrinkles should be avoided. When the temperature is low, it should be tightened and flattened as much as possible.
7. After the completion of the laying of the geomembrane, walking and moving tools on the membrane surface should be minimized as much as possible. Any objects that can cause harm to the impermeable membrane should not be placed or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane
